VToujours at the COP16
VToujours participes at the 16th meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD COP16) in Cali, Colombia from October 21th to November 1th 2024.
VToujours will collaborate with the business community, governments, Indigenous Peoples and civil society, to develop ambitious solutions and action plans for sucessful implementation of the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework (KMGBF).
VToujours is part of a business collective made up of over 180 companies that have signed the COP 16 Business Declaration. As a collective, we call on governments to adopt and enforce pro-nature policies and regulations that:
- Ensure that companies and financial players protect nature and restore degraded ecosystems.
- Ensure sustainable use and management of resources to reduce negative impacts on the environment.
- Value and integrate nature into decision-making and information disclosure
- Align all financial flows towards the transition to a nature-positive, net-zero and equitable economy
- Adopt or strengthen ambitious global agreements to address the key challenges of nature loss
Companies are invited to sign the corporate declaration before COP16, by October 13.
At COP 16, we will be taking part in negotiations and events to collaborate and contribute to the implementation of the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Frameworḱ (KMGBF), focusing on topics including:

- The Nature and culture summit
- Food security and biodiversity
- Water governance
- The Finance forum
- The Green economies summit
- The Women forum
- Indigenous and local wisdom
- And more!
